With Australia now coming into summer,
the timing couldn't have been any better for One Direction to land down
under and spend a month performing gigs on their Where We Are world
tour.In between their sell-out gigs, the individual members of 1D have been getting tattoos, going out for lunch and trying their hand at surfing. All these distractions are clearly to help them let off steam and unwind from the pressure of being the biggest pop band in the world right now.
Zayn Malik has been busy giving fans an eyeful of his ever-growing array of tattoos, including one that he appears to have just had done.

The tiger now joins an ever-growing list of Zayn's tattoo collection including a heart, a microphone, a deck of cards and, perhaps most importantly, a large image of his fiance Perrie Edwards on his right arm.

With Zayn looking more and more like the rebel in the band, many in the industry are now speculating that he may become the 'Robbie Williams of One Direction'.
Robbie's rocker look and attitude are what ultimately led to him leaving Take That right at the height of their fame, causing the band to break-up soon after.
20-year-old Zayn from Bradford considers himself a Muslim and once controversially tweeted 'There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the prophet of Allah'.
Religion aside he's been dating Little Mix singer Perrie for 18 months with the pop pair announcing their engagement in August.

Whether Zayn decides to take that same solo road as Robbie remains to be seen, but while he's busy filling every available space on his upper body with tattoos, fellow One Directioner, Harry Styles is living up to his repuattion as the band's charming gentleman.
Ever the sartorial trendsetter, Harry strode out in a long dark coat teamed with skinny jeans and brown cowboy boots for his lunch with his buddies in Sydney's trendy Rushcutters Bay.
Despite having his meal interrupted by fans desperate to have a photo taken with him, Harry graciously took it all in his stride. He posed for the happysnaps with the fans in their school uniforms though his ever-present mobile phone was never too far away from his itchy fingertips.

The band's Liam Payne meanwhile was having a bit of a struggle getting to grips with his surfboard at Sydney's surfer haven of Whale Beach. Perhaps weighing on his mind still was the recent incident where some Aussie fans broke into his hotel room next to the beach and stole his boxer shorts.
After the incident Liam tweeted: 'Hmmm somebody stole my boxers I'm so embarrassed'. He later added: 'So how this happened... I went in the sea in those hotel staff put them outside to dry sum1 climbed on and stole them just to set the scene'. He joked: "?#breakIntoSomeonesHouseAndStealThereUnderwearDay right I'm off to scarlett johansson's house".
The teenager, aged 14, who was wearing the pants was later pointed out to the band's security as Liam and fellow 1Der Louis Tomlinson went surfing. According to a witness, the band's security told the 14-year-old and her friend, 13, that if the pants were handed back the police would not be involved.

One Direction's hotly-anticipated new album, Midnight Memories, is due for release on November 25. The band promise it will have a noticeably rockier edge than their previous two albums.
Until then the band have concert dates in Australia and New Zealand lined-up until the end of October before shifting to Japan for two dates where this leg of the tour ends.
The first UK tour date is not until May 28 next year at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland. Tickets for that show, and the following UK dates in Manchester, Edinburgh and London, are now on sale.
