Kate Upton can do no wrong when it comes to the magazine-viewing public.
The sexy Sports Illustrated Swimsuit darling, however, came under the scrutiny of former supermodel Carol Alt this week.
The more mature, still stunning Alt, 53, didn't hold back when it came to stating what she thought of the younger Upton along with the other current Sports Illustrated cover girls.
Dissed: Kate Upton, who appears on the inside
flap of the current Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 50th anniversary issue,
got some criticism from former cover girl Carol Alt
'What I don't understand with Kate is what's all the hullaballoo,' Alt said of the shapely beauty in an interview with The Huntington Post on Tuesday.
Alt
- who was Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl of1982 - was referring
to the dazzling issue in which Upton is seen on the inside flap wearing
a skimpy pink bikini. The illustrious cover features Nina Agdal, LIly Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen posing topless in a row with their bare backs to the camera and wearing nothing but their bikini briefs.
Ouch: Carol Alt, 53, took the younger Kate down a
peg by saying, 'She's a pretty girl but all the girls are nice'; The
1982 swimsuit cover girl appeared in slender form at a Sports
Illustrated bash in New York on February 18
Alt continued: 'There are many covers of Sports Illustrated - one girl was just wearing a bottom, no top. I don't get what all the hullabaloo is.
'I think what it is is that in this moment there's just so much social media and that's why she's had more word of mouth than anybody.'
The blue-eyed brunette admitted that she appreciates Kate's appeal but that the love should be spread around to the other girls.
