Nicki Minaj Wears All Crocheted Clothing In Her New Music Video

Last Friday, Nicki Minaj posted a series of pictures on Instagram that showed off her natural 'do, which was pulled back into a long, slick ponytail. But this wasn't just your average, pasty-flashing selfie that we've come to expect. Thanks in part to a stacked rack of designer clothing and the background presence of a glam squad, we got the vibe that something big was coming. Today, that vibe finally reached a fever pitch as Minaj debuted her latest music video (via World Star Hip Hop) for "Lookin' A** N*****."

Shot in black and white by famed photographer/videographer Nabil (who's worked with everyone from Kanye West to Bon Iver to Seal), the video plays out in a vast, remote desert where the only available clothing is crocheted, and where Queen Barbz holds court from the seat of a pretty standard office chair. So modest! Especially in comparison to her first outfit: a black Mark Fast creation that, despite being long-sleeved, has PLENTY of ventilation. Nicki dresses up her look with her aforementioned high pony, double-platform Versace stilettos, and jewels from both Roberto Cavalli and Laruicci. Oh, and black, star-shaped pasties (her new favorite accessory).

Minaj's second outfit, a knitted bodysuit by Luxe & Le Bra, is considerably more appropriate for arid climates. She's twisted her hair up into a wraparound bun tower, strapped on some Louboutin boots, loaded up on heavy metals (including a Balmain medallion belt) and added that fly Moschino chain-link jacket we spotted last week, which is both totally unnecessary, yet also so VERY necessary.
