…And the people’s verdict:
Rita does justice to roles
-Sochi Gloria, student
It’s Rita Dominic for heaven’s sake! You can’t help but wonder how she does justice to whatever role she’s given. On the contrary, Monalisa Chinda only acts Ajebor roles.
I prefer Monalisa-Lady T, International Businesswoman
I prefer Monalisa Chinda. She’s better off in role interpretation. I also think that she has a greater fan base than Rita Dominic; Chinda’s my girl any day.
Monalisa is fantastic but Rita is better-Up-and-coming actress
Monalisa’s fantastic and talented. But as regards role interpretation, I’ll go for Rita Dominic. But both are A-list and among Nigeria’s best ever. I’ve observed both on set and in finished works so I’m speaking as an insider.
Rita’s an amazing actress -Jude Ezeh, computer analyst
I don’t think it’s contestable. Anyone that has been following Nollywood would tell you that Rita Dominic is an amazing artiste; a utility actress. She’s creativity personified. Look at how she wowed the world with her superlative movie, The Meeting. Before the meeting came on board, no one ever thought that Rita could do comedy so perfectly.
Both have their strengths and weaknesses -Yinka Adeluyi, Student
Both actresses have amazing talents and are a delight any day. But they also have their strengths and weaknesses. Rita’s fans will readily mention The Meeting, while Monalisa’s fan’s will quickly mention the movie where she played an English woman, with Francis Duru as her house boy. Both movies exhibited their creative skills.
Rita is better-Buchi Chibuike – Undergraduate
Rita is better because she can act both Mgbeke and Ajebor very well. But Monalisa is only super in Ajebor roles.
Monalisa interprets roles much better -Sunday Ugwu, Journalist
I think Monalisa interprets roles much better than Rita. But in terms of versatility and creativity, I’ll give it to Rita. But both are awesome stars!
Rita is more flexible -film marketer
Ah! Are you just asking to know what I’d say or what? It’s Rita all the way. Rita has a wide edge over Monalisa in terms of role interpretation. Rita is dangerously elastic when it comes to role interpretation. You could stretch or compress her at will and she would always deliver.
Monalisa cries a lot-Bryan King, Student
I like the way Monalisa acts. She can cry so easily just like Mercy Johnson. I feel Rita struggles with her character while acting crying scenes. One could be moved to tears while watching Mercy and Monalisa and some other male and female Nollywood stars. Though she has her strengths I think she’s rigid.
Both are great assets -Anonymous, Rita and Mona’s ex school mate
Wow! Please, did you know me before or would you say this is mere coincidence? I know both of them very well. And as a matter of fact, we graduated from the same school, University of Port Harcourt and also did same courses. So, I think I’m not qualified to make input because both are my friends and close associates. I can only tell you that both of them started showing traits of stardom back in school and they are great assets to Nollywood.
