She's taken inspiration from others before so it's little wonder Lady Gaga would choose a muse for her latest music video.
The 27-year-old, who claims to be all about the art, released the Grecian themed video for G.U.Y. on Saturday just a day after teasing the production on the Today show.
The artist put out all the stops in the nearly 12-minute long motion picture, which was filmed at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California.
Paws up: Lady Gaga releases cameo-filled music video for her latest single G.U.Y.
She recruited castmembers of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills and Bravo's Andy Cohen and even resurrected icons Michael Jackson, Jesus, Gandhi and John Lennon.
But the daring diva upstaged them all in various bodysuits and costumes throughout the piece.
The video starts out with an angel-fied Gaga writhing after she has been shot with an arrow.
Heavenly: Gaga first plays a titian-haired angel who has been shot through the chest with an arrow
A fighter: The angel manages to fight through the pain to doorstep of a castle
Grueling: The pop star shot the video over six days, saying 'We had our work cut out for us...'
Fallen: The angel-fied Gaga was seen laying in a crater surrounded by money
Change up: The 27-year-old wore a series of revealing outfits in the 12-minute production, including a variety of bodysuits
The visual feast snowballs from there with Gaga reappearing in a series of white ensembles.
In one scene, the New York native is seen wearing a white headdress and bodysuit while standing next to the Real Housewives, who are all playing instruments while donning matching pink suits.
Reality band: Castmembers of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills appeared wore matching pink suits and played instruments
Strumming: Housewife Kyle Richards played the guitar during part of the video
Gad-Zeus: Bravo's Andy Cohen showed up as the Greek god's floating head
Andy's cameo is much shorter, showing up as the floating head of Zeus as Gaga stands by the castle's iconic outdoor pool.
During Gaga's Today interview Friday, the star told Today anchor Savannah Guthrie: 'I live between two things - I live between Art and Pop – all the time.'
She explained: 'You have to [crack the whip] to keep the pace going. We had our work cut out for us with this video. It was a very big production.
Mythological muse: The Paparazzi singer took inspiration from the ancient Greeks
Temptress: In one scene the New Yorker wears a black one piece and sky high heels
Hair raising: The showboater wears a long blonde wig throughout most of the piece
Red hot: The songstress gyrated in a cherry coloured bodysuit
'We shot for six days and it was just such a pleasure working with the whole team. We had a great time.'
Gaga also defended her choice to let friend Millie Brown stick her finger down her throat and vomit a revolting-looking green substance all over her while singing her song Swine at South By SouthWest recently.
'I guess we weren't completely surprised. Millie and I know that not everybody's going to love that performance,' the singer told TV presenter Savannah Guthrie.
Armed: A much moodier Gaga steps out of a car with a heavy duty bow and arrow
Heads up: The artist wears a strange crow-like headpiece as she walks into an office building
Real accomplices: The black clothed Gaga is
accompanied into the building by Housewives Lisa Vanderpump - and her
dog Giggy - and Kyle Richards
'But we both really believe in artistic expression and strong identities,' she continued.
She added: 'ARTPOP is about bringing art and music together and the spirit of creative rebellion. For us, that performance was art in its purest form. But we totally understand that some people won't be into it.'
'Either way, we don't make things for any intention in particular other than in the spirit of entertaining the crowd and creating something that is really for the moment. It wasn't meant for the Today show. It was meant for a club performance in Austin, and we had a great time.'
Dancing queen: The motion picture featured several dance sequences
Fit physique: The exhibitionist had no qualms about showing off her taut tummy
Duality: 'I live between two things I live between Art and Pop - all the time,' Gaga told Today's Savannah Guthrie on Friday
For the fans: The Born This Way singer tweeted
just before the video's release: 'It is like the Gay Super Bowl at our
HAUS. Thank You to all the monsters who have supported me through thick
and thin. THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!'
