Tragedy struck in Lagos, on Thursday, on the Eko Bridge, when the son of
a former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, died in an auto
accident.

Adebola Ladoja's Volkswagen Golf car with Lagos registration number AKD
107 CJ, driving toward Lagos Island was crushed by a DAF truck, with

Eyewitnesses say the truck driver lost control and hit the median in the
middle of the road, before crushing the car driven by the former
governor’s son.
“It took several hours before those who came to the rescue of the victim could break into the vehicle. He was trapped behind the wheel with blood gushing out of his head as a
result of the impact,” an eyewitness said
The eyewitness added that it was the timely arrival of policemen and
officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASMA) that
saved the driver, as the crowd almost lynched him.
State police command spokeslady, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident
to reporters, saying that the police had commenced investigations on the
incident. She added that the victim died on the spot, while his remains
had been removed to the Lagos Island General Hospital mortuary for
