Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for an attack on a key military barracks in the northeastern city of Maiduguri, in a new video obtained on Monday by AFP that warns of further bloodshed, including against civilians.

The writer’s work tells the story of a Nigerian woman who moves to the US to pursue a college education.

A newborn baby, who was dumped in a septic outlet in Ogun, has been rescued after reportedly crying for almost 24 hours.
Residents of the Surulere community in the Olomore area of Abeokuta, the state capital, discovered the baby in the soak away after his cries were first heard by members of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church in the area during a vigil.
The church members however thought no ill of the situation and carried on with their business. The baby was later discovered after its crying became more intense during the day
